Collection Payment

Hello! My account was sent to collections after I canceled. I was never sent another bill and didn't realize I had a balance until it showed up on my credit report as a collection. As soon as I realized this was happening, I went into my account on Xfinity and paid the bill. I understand that it will show up as paid, but I would like the collection removed from my credit report entirely. This all happened within a span of 3 months, because like I mentioned as soon as I realized the mistake, I went in and paid it in full (little over $200). Please, is there any way to have this completely removed? Thank you!

user_bjakyz, Hello there! Thanks for taking the time out of your day to reach out. As someone who is trying to another house currently, I understand the importance of getting inquiries removed. I am sorry to learn about this experience. You've reached the right place. We are a team of experts who specialize in resolving collection inquiries such as this. We are happy to help. I see that you stated you were never sent a bill. Did you end up moving to another address? If so, was the address updated on file? Our billing system will automatically send the final billing statement to the billing address listed on file.

I did not move. I live at the same address that I had service at for the last 14 years.

Ah, okay. I would like to research this further to see what happened with that final billing statement. To get started, please send us a direct message with your first/last name and full address so I can ensure I pull up the correct account. You can start by clicking the "direct message" icon on the upper right page of our forum page. Once you click on that, input our shared handle Xfinity Support to send us a direct message.
