Closed Account Sent to Collections Despite Promised Billing Adjustment
I am seeking assistance from an Xfinity billing supervisor regarding an unresolved billing dispute that has now resulted in my former account being sent to collections.
I transferred my Xfinity service to a new address effective August 1, 2026. My previous account was disconnected, but a remaining $58 balance continued to appear.
I contacted Xfinity multiple times regarding the charges. Most recently, on September 17, a representative confirmed in writing that a removal request had been successfully submitted and that all remaining charges would be removed within 10 days. Despite this assurance, the balance remains on my old account, and today I received a collection notice from Sequium Asset Solutions.
I have the billing statements and complete chat transcript documenting the promised adjustment. I am requesting assistance from an official Xfinity support representative to reverse the previously disputed balance, recall the account from collections, and ensure that no inaccurate negative information is reported to the credit bureaus.
I would appreciate the opportunity to resolve this through private messaging, as I have already spent considerable time attempting to correct this issue through customer service.
Thank you.
