charged without activating service

hello i got charged for $45.70 out of my bank i already set up a dispute with them but i haven’t activated my internet services or modem at all and was told i wouldnt get charged so why did they take out money from my account ?

Hello, @user_zykg6s how are you? Typically, you don't get charged unless your service order is closed. It seems like it may have been closed. Also, you're billed 30 days in advance. Is there a reason why you were holding off activating service?

i didn’t activate the service because i don’t have a coax cable plus i talked to an xfinity chat agent and they said i wouldnt get charged for the services sind i never activated

We'd need to take a closer look at the account to make sure your order did not close. The Xfinity Customer Commitment gives you 30-day money-back guarantee, so everything is 100% refundable. Plus, if you did not activate service we could always manually fix the account. Just send us a direct message when you have a chance. You can use the Direct Messaging icon at the top of the page to send your name and service address to "Xfinity Support." It's next to the bell icon on the right side of the page.
