Charged me after canceling services

After making me wait 2 weeks for a callback, trying to sell me on 5 different new services on my callback when I wanted to discontinue my WiFi. I was told that my account was canceled and I assumed it was, until two weeks later I was charged for another month. Care to explain why I was lied to and charged for an account that your representative told me he disabled?

Greetings, @user_wqr3v9! I hope your week has been treating you well. Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your busy day to leave a post on our community forum about this unexpected new bill. You have definitely come to the right place for assistance.

Under normal circumstances, it can take up to ten days to process a cancellation request in our system. During this time period, your account is no longer being billed for service, but you could still receive a bill for the following month if your normal billing date falls within this ten-day window. As long as the service dates on this new bill occur after your service was canceled, the entire bill will be reversed on your final billing statement, which usually goes out within 30 days after any Comcast equipment has been returned.

That being said, we should probably still check and make sure your cancellation request is still in place. If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you.

To send a Direct Message, please click on the “Direct Message” icon in the top-right corner of the screen, next to the bell icon, click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon, then type or select "Xfinity Support". Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window and press Enter to send your message and initiate a live session.
