Charged for not returning an item that I didn't borrow

I was charged for not returning equipment for my Internet service but I used my own modem and router and there was no where on my account that I could find what piece of equipment Xfinity thinks I have and needs to return and then I got a bill today for $120. I need this removed as I did not borrow any equipment for my Internet from Xfinity.

Good afternoon user_5wxr7a I can certainly understand your concern regarding unreturned equipment. We can certainly assist you further. I understand you were using your own modem, at any point did you have or were you offered an Xfinity Flex Box, or Xumo Stream Box? I ask because during your service there is $0 monthly cost at all. But upon discontinuing service, those are still rented Xfinity property essentially, if one of those was provided that could be what is generating this cost.

@XfinityJon So something I never paid for and Xfinity gave me for free I still need to return even if I hardly used it? Can I return it at this point and have them remove it from my bill?

During your active service it is provided for no additional cost. Upon discontinuing service it is still Xfinity equipment, so just needs to be returned. Yes, you can absolutely please return it, and we can work with you to get that taken care of. Please let me know if this helps.
