Can’t cancel internet!!!

I have repeatedly stated to cancel my account, which has been auto paid each month. I was transferred to multiple departments. Each time I was transferred I was asked the same questions even though they always stated they were reviewing the previous conversation. Now they’re charging me, despite my equipment being turned off, not living there, and canceling my account! Now I am working with a lawyer on the fraudulent charges, undue stress and humiliation, and wasted time.

Good evening @user_ops2rh, and thank you for reaching out on our Community Forums today with your cancellation concerns, we are sorry to hear about the frustrating experience and assure you that you've reached the right team to help. I see that you stated you repeatedly asked to cancel your account and that you have been transferred to multiple departments during the cancellation process, I understand where your frustrations are coming from. I also see that you stated you're being charged despite the equipment being turned off. We'd be happy to review your account to confirm it's been cancelled as well as review the charges. Our team definitely wants to help turn this situation around and is on your side. In order to review your account and charges further, we will need to collect some sensitive information to locate the account. To get started, can you please send us a Direct Message with your first and last name along with the service address on the account?

To send a "Direct Message" ("Private") message:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

  • Click the "Direct Message chat" icon
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  • Press Enter to send it

We look forward to working with you further!
