Cannot TURN off Autopay

Hi, I’m an existing Xfinity customer.

I had my previous NOW internet plan with Xfinity too, and I had setup autopay on that account. I no longer needed that plan, because I purchased another Comcast xfinity plan. I couldn’t turn off autopay on my previous account, when I tried turning off autopay it said “Something unexpected happened. Please try again” each time. I was charged again for this service

Concern moved here to the Billing help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Thank you for letting us know, @user_o8g9k9! To clarify, are you being billed for both, then, at this time? Meaning both for a regular residential service(s) plan and a NOW service(s) account?

Yes that is correct.

Previously I was on the NOW Internet Plan. Then, I had to move to a different address and hence I had turned off autopay on my previous address’s account, and I bought a new NOW Internet plan for my new address. Though I had bought a new NOW Internet plan for my new address, I had issues activating the newly equipment at my new address. While troubleshooting the issue, I was asked by the chat assistant to turn autopay back ON, to diagnose further. With the issue taking longer to troubleshoot, I had switched to Comcast Xfinity postpaid plan since it provides better help and support.

So yes, I am being billed for 2 plans currently- my previous NOW intenret plan (no longer needed, but autopay was left ON) and my current comcast Xfinity postpaid plan.
