Cancelled Xfinity NOW services yet being charged for next month

I discontinued my NOW services on May 12, 2026 and received a cancellation confirmation email the next day. However, I was just charged for June via autopay. And I have proof of both mails - 1) Cancellation of services 2) Yet being charged for that service for next month I.e. June
When I log into my regular Xfinity account, it shows no active service and no chosen payment method shown. I guess my credit card details are stored and used even after I cancelled my services. I have already spent hours being transferred in circles between agents who claim they cannot help with NOW accounts.
Xfinity NOW customer service: What are you going to do to resolve this erroneous charge, and when will my refund be processed?

Hello @user_371ye6, thank you for taking the time to leave a post. Sorry to hear about your experience with disconnecting your NOW services. That would be frustrating, especially after receiving confirmation that everything had already been taken care of. I completely understand how concerning it must be to still see charges after that. Due to limitations with NOW Internet, support is handled directly through the NOW portal.  Before cancelling your NOW services did you turn off the auto-pay also?

Yes, before cancelling the services, I talked with Xfinity now customer service and they on their end did all that was required and even on my Xfinity portal no autoplay is set up at moment. Still, they charged. Help me with it.

user_371ye6 Have you used the portal to request a refund at this time?

How to use portal for refund? I talked for hours with Xfinity customer service, they first dodged me between calls and live agent chat, but they did not tell me how to proceed for refund.

user_371ye6 The quickest way is typing refund into the chat assistant for NOW services in the portal. I can help with this though by putting in a ticket if you need. I'll need to locate the account for the NOW service you were charged for.

Can you send us a direct message with your full name, name of account holder (if different), and service address please?

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" If necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon (speech bubble)

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person".

Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it

I did the direct message.

And fyi, for requesting refund through chat assistant, it is replied, “

Billing disputes or refund requests require review by a billing specialist to make sure everything is handled correctly. I can look for an available agent — would you like me to connect you?”

.

”I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but your account is no longer active. Please call 1-800-934-6489 for assistance with your account.”

And when you call this number they ask you to chat with live agent, there lies the loophole !
