Cancelled service, had a -79.59 balance, then no future bills but now sent to collections?

Subject explain it all or ticket [Edited: Personal Information].

Short version is we cancelled service and moved to business internet. Had a credit on account. Years later without any bills, notices or any contact from Comcast we get a $45 collection noticed when we had a -$79.59 balance at time we terminated service.  

Previous and current accounts have always been on auto pay, and I’ve never missed a payment to any bill or card in 25 years.

Comcast needs to make this right and fix their mistake.

Got access to the so called ticket, and it has a total of 4 words in it.  No info, no explanation, no details - just 4 words saying request is closed.

How is that supposed to help anyone?

Ticket Created: 6/29/2025
Your request is closed


There was an older ticket that we were issued the refunds on which is [Edited: Personal Information] but apparently there is no info in that ticket, at least that is what the gentleman at the Xfinity store told us.  So where is all the notes, data, info, etc for these tickets?
