Cancelled but Still Charged

I cancelled my service. I was assured my last day of service would be 6/22. I am now being charged double what my previous bill was. But I cancelled my service. I was assured over the phone and via email that my service was cancelled and my last date of service was 6/22. My router is unplugged, sitting in my car ready to be dropped off at an Xfinity store. Why am I being charged?
