Cancellation ignored, now in collections?
I have been trying to cancel my xfinity account since March 2020 and yet, despite having a cancellation number and final bill paid, I continued to be billed and now have been sent to collections. I own the equipement outright.
Despite calls, chats, emails with numerous customer support people nothing has changed. How badly run is Comcast/Xfinity?? Why such incompetence?
You can rest assured your ability to continue at our HOA is going to become impossible.

Is it possible that you canceled while you were in a contract? If so, you probably owed an early termination fee which is not included in the final bill.

The same thing happened to me. I paid my final bill and confirmed many times over the phone that I am not being charged anymore. Then 30-60 days later I get a notification that I owed 90$ and never paid it. Don’t waste your time dealing with Comcast the customer service is terrible.
