Canceled service

I canceled my internet service over the phone 4 days ago. Why does my account show an upcoming bill for October?

@user_ifpiqt Generally once the request for a disconnect is entered the billing will stop on the requested day, however the account doesn't fully disconnect for 10 days past the requested service end date. This is to allow time for equipment to be returned, that way it doesn't charge unreturned equipment to a final bill. I would love to take a look at the account though to make sure everything is set for you. Please send us a DM to Xfinity Support with your full name and address to get started.

Click the "Direct Message" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pen and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window 
Press Enter to send it
