Canceled our service in May of last year, now one year later we've been charged $147???
One year ago we moved out of the United States. Before doing so, we canceled our Xfinity service and paid our final bill. We also returned all of our equipment.
Now, a year later, we've suddenly been billed $147. We weren't asked or called or even e-mailed. We just woke up and our bank account was overdrawn thanks to the sudden bill, during a time of financial hardship. We were going to use that money to buy enough food to make it to next month. Now what do we do?
We tried chatting with a customer service agent, but the AI chatbot told us they wouldn't bring a human into the chat to talk to use because we were no longer Xfinity customers.
So, as former Xfinity customers, we are not allowed live customer service - but what is allowed...is for Xfinity to take money out of our bank?
We can't call 1-800 or 1-866 numbers from where we live now.
We have to get this sorted out as soon as possible or else we'll be eating shoe leather for dinner before the end of May.
