Canceled before activation, requesting the $25 deposit refunded in full.

I recently made an Xfinity account to gain internet at new apartment I was moving to. I placed an initial deposit as was required to make the account and get started. I then chose to cancel within 30 days as I decided I no longer wanted the service.

I have not been issued any equipment nor have I activated any equipment. The phone reps cannot understand that I am owed the initial deposit. I am choosing to post here in hopes that my issue can be resolved. My account number is [Edited: "Personal Information"].

Hi there, and thanks for taking the time to post here on the community forums, user_5rbv4u! Once an account is cancelled, refunds are typically issued back to the last payment method used within 4-6 weeks as shown on our support page covering What to expect with a refund from Xfinity, so it may already be in the process of coming back to you. That said, our team would be more than happy to take a look to confirm! Please send us a direct message with your full name, name on the account (if different), and service address, and we'll dig in!

How to Send Us a Direct Message:

  1. Click "Sign In" if necessary.
  2. Click the "Direct Messaging" icon.
  3. Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon.
  4. In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support".
  5. As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
