CANCEL SERVICE NOT HONORED

I have asked twice for xfinity to cancel my service as I am moving and will be homeless. I called twice because the asinine chat feature only allows for a callback. I spoke with two different people on the same day about canceling by Friday of LAST WEEK. THEY ASSURED ME IT WAS DONE. Tell me why I’m still being billed? In fact, the guy said I should get money BACK BECAUSE MY SERVICE WAS DISCONNECTING BEFORE END OF THE BILLING CYCLE.
and now it looks like xfinity suddenly wants to change my bill to upwards of $80?! For service I’m trying to cancel?? Dumb. I want my account closed immediately or I will escalate in every possible way. Ridiculous.

user_m5r4l0 Hello there, and welcome to Xfinity Forums! I can see how getting a bill after services have been requested to be cancelled would be alarming. Depending on how your billing cycle falls within your request, it's possible to receive a bill during this time. Once the account is cancelled, the adjustments are made to the final statement.

I'm happy to take a look to confirm your billing, and help with the transition. Please send us a Direct Message with your name and service address we will be working with today.

Click "Sign In" if necessary.
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon.
Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon.
In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support".
As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
Press Enter to send it.
