Cancel a payment

I am trying to cancel a payment that xfinity continues to try and put through my account which has insufficient funds and continues to cost me an overage of $32. Please stop trying to put a payment through more than once!!!!

The concern is not "Home Security Devices / Rules And Automations" help related............ Topic moved here to the proper help section, and for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Greetings, @user_f32382! I hope your week has been treating you well. Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your busy day to leave a post on our community forum. I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with this payment, but you have definitely come to the right place for assistance.

A previously scheduled payment can only be canceled with a full 24-hour advance notice, so if the payment is already being put through, it will be too late to cancel, unfortunately.

Is this payment on a checking account (EFT) or through a debit or credit card? If an EFT payment fails, it will only be reattempted one more time, five days after the initial attempt. If the payment was on a debit or credit card, it will still only be attempted one more time after five days, unless it was your monthly automatic payment. Those can be reattempted up to three more times, but you should be able to change the card number or make the payment with a different card before the next attempt.
