Broadcast TV Fees
I have the Basic Service package at a price of $12.22 per month. My monthly bill is $53.47, in part because a broadcast fee of $19.20 is added to each bill. The broadcast fees cost more than the actual cable service! How is this possible?

Hi user_9665e3, thanks for reaching out to us here with this concern. The Broadcast TV Fee is an itemized charge on your bill that is based on the costs of providing the local broadcast stations that we carry on our cable systems in each area. These costs include the fees that broadcast stations charge us to carry them on our cable systems, which are among the fastest growing components of our programming costs. The Broadcast TV Fee isn't a government-imposed or mandated fee and increases from time to time.

I have internet service only from Xfinity, no TV services at all. Why am I being billed for this Broadcast TV fee?

@user_757901: "send a private message" means:
From any forums.xfinity.com page:
• Click "Sign In" if that prompt is visible
• Click the "Direct Messaging" icon
or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person but don't do that.
Instead, type Xfinity Support there. As you are typing a drop-down list appears.
• Select "Xfinity Support" from the list. An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter or tap the > icon to send it
