broadcast tv fee
to save money, I recently cancelled my triple play, cancelling tv and phone and now just have internet. With just an internet package, I am realizing I cant watch things like NBC10 news for example, without having the cable service anymore. for example, when I attempt to watch, say, NBC10 news live, it asks me to log in with my xfinity account and then says i must have a cable package. Anyway, my question is, why am I being charged $15 a month for a broadcast tv fee if I cant watch local news, which if Im not mistaken, should include nbc? Also, from researching it, ive seen several articales saying internet only cant be taxed. But I still get charged taxes? I am in south NJ... Ill eventually caqll Xfinity, but just wanted to see hwat others experiences have been. Thanks.

Concern moved here to the Billing help section for greater exposure to the Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

@cberr Thank you for reaching out to the Xfinity Forum team. There are a few things that I want to address. When switched your account to an Internet only package you most likely made the change within a billing cycle so you are seeing the broadcast fee and some taxes. Once your new billing statement generates you will not see those charges anymore.
Since you have a Internet only package, you will not have access to any video channels. I would be happy to review your account with you.
Could you please send our team a private message with your full name and full address?
