Boosted Internet speed
Greetings,
I received an email from xfinity that says "Good news: We've boosted your Internet speed". Does this mean my bill will be boosted?
Thanks

Hello and thank you for taking the time to reach out to us here on our Xfinity Forums! That is a great question and I understand the concern of any type of bill increase. We are always looking to improve our network speeds and occasionally roll out increased speeds. What I love is that if the speed you are subscribed to increases we give you the extra speed without changing your monthly bill if you're in a promotional rate! I would be happy to doublecheck and make sure there won't be an increase for you.
Please send us a direct message to "Xfinity Support" with your full name and address to get started.
To send a direct message you may need to:
Click "Sign In"
Click the "direct message" icon
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it

You won't be billed specifically for the increased speed, but when Comcast "gives" you a "free" speed increase, it means either 1) you've already paid for it, or 2) you will pay for it in the future. With Comcast, nothing is truly "free". Why people believe these are "free" just because there's not a line item on your bill for them utterly baffles me.

Billie,
This is a simple question, will my bill be increased as a result of "boosted speed"? Can you answer here in this thread so that others may benefit?
Thanks

Well, I do see an $11 increase in my monthly fee. IMHO, it is was overpriced before the increase.
