Billing statements - why so difficult and slow to obtain?

I have been signed up for electronic delivery for years now but in the past year or so, it has almost become impossible to find and download a copy of the monthly billing statement. Today, despite logging in via MS Edge and then Chrome, I continue to get this error - "Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'slice')" . I am using a Windows 11 PC, fully updated and additionally, the entire process of getting to your billing area, it is always super slow loading these pages. As I stated in the beginning, this has been going on now for nearly a year. I just spent 30 minutes trying to get a statement. Why don't you include a link in the emails you send notifying customers of their payment due and please, check why the PC access is so slow, not sure if it is because you focus on smartphone access or what but it is way too slow!

Thank you for reaching out to our team here. Are you attempting to see your billing information on your Xfinity app or at the Xfinity.com/myaccount site?

Thank you for clarifying, @DoverPARon. I must admit, this particular error is unfamiliar to me. Have you tried accessing your bills on a different device, or through the Xfinity app, by any chance?

@XfinityJamesC I only have a PC and I can't access my statement. Why has this part of the website been slow for years while the rest of it works fine? If I want to upgrade my service, that's snappy and I can be done in 5 minutes, but I've been trying to see my bill for an hour now, can't get the website to load, can't get through to a person. It's like you only care when my money is in my hand, and otherwise you want me to try a different device so I become someone else's problem

I’m here to help every step of the way. When you have a moment, can you walk me through the steps you’ve taken so far and any troubleshooting you’ve already tried? I also started seeing the error "Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'slice')" when I try to view the statement from my account (https://customer.xfinity.com/#/billing/brite). I noticed it from the past few days, I tried to get it resolved through the customer service chat. Please help me get this fixed.

Thank you for reaching out to us @deepr! For troubleshooting purposes, have you tried clearing cache and cookies on your browser, closing the browser application and all it tabs, and then loading it again?

Are you noticing this issue on multiple browsers and/or devices?

Yes, I have tried clearing cache and cookies and tested this on multiple browsers, different devices, and different networks.

I see different versions of the same error depending on the browser:

Chrome: "Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'slice')"
Safari: "undefined is not an object (evaluating 'i.slice')"

The issue persists and only affects the billing statement page (https://customer.xfinity.com/#/billing/brite). All other sections of my account work normally.

This appears to be a script or account data issue on the billing portal side.

Thank you so much for this information. Have you tried to view the statement via the Xfinity App? I took a look at my app and was a able to view the statements.

I cannot view my statement in the app, and I prefer to view it online in my account as I normally do.

I also have this problem. Why can't I ever see my bill? undefined is not an object (evaluating 'i.slice') This happens every time I try to download it. Why don't you try fixing it at your end? I don't want an app.

Hello @user_2dfr7q, thanks for your comment. Sorry to hear that you’re experiencing the same issue. To help narrow things down, have you had a chance to clear your cache and cookies, try a different browser, or test the site in incognito/private mode? These steps can sometimes resolve unexpected behavior

This is on purpose and has been the case for as long as Xfinity has existed

Edit: Wow, I was right. I called in about the site being slow and the rep "updated my account to allow access to that". The bill loaded immediately, the site is snappy now. I cancelled my service today after 16 years.
