Billing question

I was informed that if I set up auto pay I would get a $10.00 reduction in my bill. I set it up and after 2 months I did not think I was getting the reduction so I stopped it. Then before my next bill I realized that the bill had increased $10.00 a month so I was getting a bill in the same amount I was previously paying which was a reduction of $10.00. So before my next bill I set up the auto pay again and now, so far it looks like the $10.00 reduction is gone. Is this a one time thing and if you change banks or something do you loose the $10.00 benefit? Doesn't seem fair. I was not informed that the bill would increase or by how much.

Hello chrislind33, thank you for coming to our Forum for help understanding the self-service $10 discount. In order to be eligible for that discount you'd need to enable paperless billing and automatic payments. If you like automatic payments with a bank account you'd get a $10 discount, and $5 with a link card. Did you enable paperless billing as well?

@XfinityMarcos I have always had paperless billing, and I did receive the $10.00 discount for 2 months and did not realize I was getting it so I stopped the auto payment then realized the mistake set up auto payment again and now I am not getting the $10.00 discount. I just need to somehow turn the $10.00 discount back on because I set up the auto payment and should be getting the $10.00.

Great question chrislind33! That is something that does skip a billing cycle to go back active. 45 days is the normal timeline to activate that discount. The reason is that the autopay does run a test cycle to turn on and finalize the discount. Unfortunately, it is not a simple on and off for getting that discount back in motion.
