“Billing problems” email

Received email saying Xfinity payments important. Your payment has been declined. Is this phishing or is this real?

remote payment went through and nothing has changed with my credit card info.

It sounds like it might be a bad actor. Did you have a chance to check your balance and payment history by logging into your Xfinity account online or using the Xfinity app? If you've registered your mobile phone you can also text BAL to 266278 (COMCST) to quickly check your balance.

As a quick reminder, you'll want to always check the email address of the sender. If the email has an unrecognizable address but claims to be from Xfinity, don’t trust it. Never open links or attachments in unsolicited emails or text messages. They may execute a disguised program such as malware, adware, spyware, or viruses that can damage or steal your data.
