Billing issue

My Xfinity service has already been disconnected on Aug 28, and my account shows “You’re no longer with Xfinity.”

However, I still have a $61 balance for the service period Aug 30–Sep 29. My service was disconnected before that billing period began.

Could an Xfinity representative please confirm my effective disconnect date and whether this $61 charge will be credited/removed on my final bill?

I can provide my account information privately if needed.

Concern moved here to the Billing help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Good afternoon user_mgduma. I can understand the concern if a bill had generated. I do have a couple questions to assist with your concern. For the bill that you did receive, what is the billing date? I know you mentioned the cycle, but the statement date will be just the one date the bill had generated, if it is before the 28th, the bill would have generated before the disconnect which is why it would still be received.

If you use the Xfinity App, my next question would be, when you go to the services screen, is it currently showing active or inactive? Please let me know. I am happy to assist further.

The billing date is Aug 25, and under the Total Balance it shows like this
Disconnected
$61.00
Payment required
Pay your full past due balance now to bring your account up to date.

And in the overview page of app it shows:
You're no longer with Xfinity.

I didn't actually see a word like active or inactive in the app.

Thank you for providing those details, @user_mgduma. It is highly likely that this bill generated before your order was entered, or while your order/request to disconnect was open (which typically takes 10 days past the completion date to fully close). I would say, if anything, you might even see a partial credit balance for Aug 29 -30, and it's just "old" information. We can double-check, just to be sure, but I doubt what you have is the latest available information. Could you please send our team a direct message to continue?

How to send us a direct message

  1. Click "Sign In" if necessary.
  2. Click the "Direct Messaging" icon.
  3. Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon.
  4. In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support".
  5. As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
  6. An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.
  7. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
  8. Press Enter to send it.

To expedite your request, we ask that you please include your name and the service address alongside a detailed summary of your request/question. Thank you!
