billing increase over contracted price

Diamond customer, same address and customer 34+ years.  Just curious, I signed a 24 mo agreement 2/21/25. Part of agreement was $35 broadcasting fee. New statement in January, broadcasting fee raised to $47.The contract is clear with my cancellation charges (ie I leave comcast) but it's ok to raise the contracted price? What gives, I feel bent over!

SpPJ20 Thank you for reaching out! Just to let you know promotional pricing does not include the Broadcast TV Fee, Regional Sports Fee, Equipment, taxes, and other fees. Promotional pricing only refers to the product itself for the term of the promotion. You will see the pricing increase notice on your prior months billing statement. For more information, please visit Our TV prices are changing site.

Does Comcast negotiate those rates? Where is the incentive to fight for the customer? Sadly it's rigged in your favor. These details are not discussed when signing the agreement, it's in the fine print apparently. I'm always the advocate of xFinity's well working services, the reality is as prices are skyrocketing and some (cough Comcast corp) are making ridiculous net incomes yearly, and the paying customer is pushed aside. Please pass along to your bosses, we notice it and it hurts!

Yes, Comcast negotiates rates with television network owners to minimize the impact of rising costs on customers. Under the Terms and Conditions section of our term agreements, it does outline which additional charges can change during and after the term agreement. To view your contract or legal agreement, go to Legal Agreements and Contract.
