Billing discrepancy

Hello, I have been an Xfinity customer for at least three years and have been very satisfied with my service. I’m reaching out to you because I just got notification that my monthly bill would be increasing from $35 a month to $80 for the same service. I reached out to customer retention and switched from a 400 MBPS plan to a 300 MBPS plan. Iwas told that my new monthly bill would now be $40.50. I just got an email from Xfinity stating that my bill was going to be $55.17. I’m unsure as to what happened and would greatly appreciate any assistance on your end to correct this. Thanks in advance.

Hello user_dsjnkw thank you so much for taking the time and reaching out with these billing questions here on our Xfinity Forums! If this is the first statement after you've made these plan changes, then what you're describing is a prorated bill from the date the change was made through the end of your current billing cycle. Once this prorated statement passes, you'll see service charges as quoted in your order approval when the changes were implemented.
