Billed in error for installation fee

A Comcast representative had to come out to my rental on 6/17 to fix the external issue that prevented me from setting up my router. Because the self-install kit failed due to an external infrastructure or line issue, I should not have been charged the $100 installation fee.

@jzeroth You're in the right place for help.

Our team can certainly take a look at that charge for you.

As a friendly reminder if a tech has to come out to professionally install and activate your services there's a $100 charge for that.

I have a link with more details on how to prepare for your tech appointments https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/prepare-for-your-service-visit

Can you please direct message me your first and last name along with your full service address, so I can assist you further?

To do so, click on the chat icon located at the top right of this forum's page.

Here are the detailed steps to direct message us:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Message” icon (upper right corner of this page)

Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon
