Billed for Internet that was turned off after 2 days.
Hello. I was billed for an Internet service that I did not have for longer than a week, not even longer than 2 days. A thunderstorm hit on July 3rd, 2026 and my service went out. I thought it was the weather but they willingly turned my connection off. Come today, 09/18/2026, I check my email to see that an account with $175 is in collections. When I called support, the woman on the line claimed that I have to pay this bill first, and that once I pay, they will run my case through a system to see if I’m approved for a credit to get that stuff disputed. That is utter [Edited: "Language"]. Why should I have to pay first to receive a credit toward a bill I never owned for the duration of the cycle? I would like to speak to a higher up because there is no way I pay or value what she said unless I get it in writing in an email or physical paper. This is terrible from Xfinity and it’s sad as I was a customer for onwards of 2 1/2 years.

Concern moved here to the Billing help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.
