Billed after end of service date

I canceled my service and received a confirmation email mail that stated my end of service date would be June 17th.  Last week I received an email stating I had a bill due July 12 for service provided between June 24- July 24 after my service ended.   Why am I being billed for service after the end of service date.

Hey @user_4a49cc,

Thank you for visiting our official Xfinity Community Forums support page. Regarding your billing, you will be billed as normal until your account has been fully disconnected. As you have a pending disconnection that is scheduled and not finalized, service bills will be received as normal.

Once the account has been fully processed and disconnected, your final billing statement will reflect the disconnection date as well as provide any prorated charges/credits that are applicable depending on your bill cycle.

If you have any further questions, we highly recommend visiting our "Important Information When Canceling Your Xfinity Services" support page.

I shut off xfinity in august 2023 because we just moved but I just got billed for this month (September). Why would that be?

@user_a00ec6, Thank you for reaching out through Xfinity Forums with your billing question. I can understand your concern about being billed after you just canceled your service. We bill 30 days in advance, so your bill had most likely already gone out when you canceled your service. Anything you overpaid will be refunded to you within the next 4 weeks. If you would like us to take a closer look at your account, please send us a DM with your name and full address by doing the following:

• Click "Sign In" if necessary

• Click the "Direct Message” icon (upper right corner of this page)

• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list

• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

• Press Enter to send your message

How long does it typically take for Xfinity to process the cancellation.

It can take up-to 10 days after the final disconnection date for the account to close and final bill be sent to the address. If you do not receive a final bill within 10 business days, please do not hesitate to reach out again.

We called Xfinity on 10/11/23 that we were going to leave the apartment on 10/30/23 and wanted Xfinity to disconnect the service on 10/31/23 and we would not use any of Xfinity in the future.

However, the following is the bill they send:

Amount due: $162.56
Due date: 12/02/2023.
10/30/23 We took airplane to go to Europe, how could we use Xfinity service?!
