Bill went up by $39 with no warning

My internet bill went from $30/month to $69/month with no reason and no warning. An increase of 130% seems like more than a normal escalation amount; what the heck is going on? How can I get my bill back to a manageable amount?

It sounds as though a promotion you had expired.  Do you read your billing statement beyond how much you owe [if you read it at all]?  The increase would have been explained on page 3 of last months' bill.  😉

They sent notices in the middle of last year but I didn't see an increase until late last year. Going from $86/month to $96. Then the last two months I noticed it went up again to $99/month.

Depending on when you signed up there are promotional discounts that come off and your rate will increase quite a bit, sometimes in stages too. The promotional price ended then a few months later the rate hiked again. Then when I called they again said the promotional price came off but when I called them out on it saying that it already came off, the rep told me they come off in waves. Which isn't really clear in the small text in their ads.

I attempted to go into the bill statement and the website just hung there until it kicked me out and made me log in again.
Same [Edited: "Language"] issue that's been happening for well over a year with many, MANY, forum posts about this same website issue. It's almost like they don't want people looking into their statements or digging in much past bill payment.

I can't wait to switch.

@Again Good luck reading your bill statement. I'm trying to read mine to see what another hike is and I'm stuck in a loop between the page loading until it kicks me out.
