Bill payment confirmation emails

I am receiving emails confirming payment of my bill each month by way of a Mastercard.  Only problem is that I DO

Who is the email from?  Are you sure it is NOT a PHISHING attempt?

I am receiving emails confirming payment of my bill with a Mastercard.  I DO NOT HAVE A CREDIT CARD ON FILE LINKED TO MY ACCOUNT.  I pay my bills with scheduled payments through my credit union.  The last payment that the email says was received has not come through my credit union account yet.  WHY IS THIS HAPPENING???

I've been fighting this for over a year along with others and have gotten nowhere. If you are able to get it corrected, please post how you did it.

I received similar email stating paid with Discover Card.  I do not pay by credit card ever.  Is this a scam of some sort.  Do I need to do react or just delete.
