Why did my bill go up $20.00 in a month?????  No warning!!!!  Just billed for $100.00 from $80.00!!!!!  What the heck?????  This is just not acceptable!!!  I was with Verizon for 25 years!!!! Switched to you and …. No warning and the bill increases $20.00 a month!!!! I’m on a fixed income.  CRAZY!!!!  Can you explain this to me??????  I am furious.

Good morning @user_th67kwI can certainly understand the surprise of receiving a bill that's higher than expected, and I'd be happy to help explain what you're seeing. Your Xfinity bill shows the service dates being billed, along with a summary of account activity since your last statement. This includes any previous balance, payments received, credits, past-due amounts, and new charges for the current billing period. If you've recently made changes to your services, you may also see prorated charges or credits reflecting those updates.

The Amount Due includes both the current month's charges and any unpaid balance that may have carried over from a previous statement. New charges can consist of your regular monthly services, taxes, fees, one-time charges, and any adjustments related to service changes.

We also send a billing statement each month so you can review your services, pricing, and account activity. If you have promotional pricing, you can typically find details about your promotion and its expiration date on page 3 of your Xfinity bill, displayed in green text. You can learn more about your Xfinity bill here:

https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/new-bill-design

If you'd like, we'd be happy to review the bill with you line by line and help explain any specific charges or changes that may have contributed to the increase. We would need to access the account and complete a quick verification.

If you would like us to review the account with you, please send us a DM with your full name and address to Xfinity Support.

To send a direct message:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click "Direct Message"

Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.

As you are typing, a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.

An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it. See the link below for an example

Response with excuse. Regular month, no outstanding debt…  you have only increased my bill.  No warning, just increased.  Looking back to Verizon.

@user_th67kw

We do apologize for any inconvenience. You can review your last 12 months of detailed billing statements to see what changes have occurred.  This link has great information on how to view those billing statements https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/view-xfinity-billing-history

With your billing increasing, you most likely were on some promotional type of discount that's now expired.

If you log into your account and view your detailed PDF statement and Scroll down to Page 3 you can see the details of when that promotional rate expired.

We are more than happy to look at your account to see what options we have to get you a better pricing plan.

All you need to do is follow the instructions above on sending us a direct message and we'll be happy to take care of you
