Bill Issue URGENT

I am currently billed for $123 a month for 1gig because my promotion ended, but I just switched to the $65/month for 1 gig plan. How can I have my bill be $65/month and not the $123 because I don't understand why it shot up to $123 and not the current one of $65. I am only halfway through my billing cycle but my bill is due on Sept. 2nd. I also don't want any xfinity credit, I want a direct refund because I will be moving out of the country and cancelling my service halfway through the billing cycle anyways.

Concern moved here to the Billing help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Thank you for reaching out to our team with your billing question. If you made that change to a new promotional price in the middle of your monthly billing cycle the balance on the account would change online, there would be charges at the old rate up to the date of the change and the new rate for the rest of the month. If you are enrolled in the auto-pay option the $123 payment would put the account in a negative balance and the following months statement would have a prorated credit.

Yes, I do have autopay. Does the prorated credit mean a refund to my bank account or a credit to my xfinity account that can only be used towards next month's payment? I am only 18 days into my billing cycle, which for some reason is 43 days, not 30, I think because they changed my billing date because I had to delay installation. It says the bill is for services from Aug 12th - Sept 24.

Is it possible to only be billed for those 18 days?

Great question, if your account is active the credit would apply to the following months bill. If the account is disconnected and shows a negative balance that would be refunded to the payment method on the account.

If I disconnect my internet, does that disconnect my account as well? Or do I need to delete it on the portal or something?

If you disconnect your services that would be an account disconnect. That can be done online, by phone or here with us.

So if I pay the full upcoming bill, should I call after I disconnect my service to have them update my bill, or will it automatically re-calculate and refund me?
