Bill due but no service yet

I am trying to set up service at my new address.  I currently use Xfinity at my old house.  I see I already have a bill due for the new service buf - thanks to no one from Xfinity listening to me - a tech to run service from the street to the house has not been dispatched.  From what I’ve read, those appointments can take a while to be set up.  Until we know when my service will actually start, should I be getting billed for it?

Hello, @user_pmi60c thank you for taking time to create a post. You've contacted the right place for assistance, and completely understand the concern about being billed for service but not having service activated. From experience, if you set the transfer order up online, I've seen that there is usually no option to schedule a technician installation. The self-installation transfer normally completes around 5 days on average, when checking similar issues customers have reported.

I'd like to investigate further, and can help get a technician appointment set up. Since I will need to gather some information to locate your account, and we don't want that here in our public conversation. When you have time, please send a direct message.

To send a direct message:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

• Click the "Direct Message" icon in the upper right - it looks like a chat bubble

• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon just to the right of Conversations

• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line - do not use the Employee's name!

• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

• Press Enter to send it

To expedite your request, we ask that you please include your name, the account holder name (if different), and the service address

@user_pmi60c thank you for sending the direct message with the requested information. I'll follow up with you there to continue with he review to see what is happening with the billing, and help with getting an appointment scheduled for a tech to come out.
