Bill dispute

Hi,

I have been a comcast customer for 5 years and recently I decide to cancel my service because of moving. I called customer service and was told that only a partial monthly service fee will be charged. However, later on there is a 110$ early termination fee as adding in the bill, which is very surprising and contradictory with what i was told before. I don't think I should get a early termination fee after being a customer for 5 years.. Can you help me to check that?

Hello, user_ewimbd. Thanks for reaching out to us over our Community Forums. Even though you have been a Comcast customer for some time, you may have been a plan with promotional or discounted pricing that required a term agreement with an Early Termination Fee. If all Xfinity services are canceled during a term agreement, a fee will apply. However, the fee does decrease each month while in the agreement. Do you recall making a plan change before canceling your services?

Classic Xfinity. Same thing happened to me. They rope you in with discounted rates, then send you a multiple page contract via email for digital approval, but they make sure not to verbalize the ETF [Edited: "Inflammatory"] when you need to cancel. [Edited: "Inflammatory"]
