Better rates?
Hello Xfinity Support,
I'm hoping someone in the forums can help me out. I've been an existing Xfinity customer for a decade now (2016), and I'm considering canceling my services.
I've been paying $70 a month for 300 Mbps (with paperless billing and autopay). However, new customer rates range from $40 to $80 a month.
Is there a way for existing customers to get better rates or promotions? Alternatively, could my spouse register as a new customer if we say we are moving in?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Good evening @kurffew! After being with Xfinity for almost a decade, I can see why you’d want to compare your current $70 rate with the promotions you’re seeing advertised before deciding whether to make a change.
Regarding putting the service under your spouse’s name, changing the account holder would not necessarily make the household eligible for new-customer promotional pricing. Instead, let’s first review the offers already available to your account and see whether there’s an option that better fits your budget.
Since that requires us to review your account and promotional eligibility, please send us a direct message with your full name and complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the direct messaging icon located at the top right of this forums page.
Here's the detailed steps to direct message us:
1. Click "Sign In" if necessary.
2. Click the "Direct Messaging" icon.
3. Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon.
4. In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support".
5. As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
6. An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.
7. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
8. Press Enter to send it.
You can see how to send us a direct message here.
