Bad Experience
Wondering if anyone has had as bad of an experience with comcast/xfinity as I've had.
Recently moved into a new development, and Verizon who was our previous ISP had further work to do before sending out an installer. We were looking at a month+ wait for internet. So we scheduled sevice to be installed with comcast with no term contact for the time being, as wiring is already ran for both Verizon and Comcast. We were sent a self install kit which would not suffice as there was no previous service at the address of course (all that was sent was a flex box).
We then scheduled for professional Installation, day of the install comes and we get a call saying our installer was running about 30 minutes latw but was on their way. An hour after that we hear nothing but see two xfinity vans servicing homes literally across the street. We think oh ok maybe we're next.... Nope.
We dont receive abother call but i check the Xfinity app and the service install date was moved to the end of that week. We call customer service to ask why it was rescheduled and we couldnt get a reason for rescheduling, they couldnt even see the new date on their end and said thats becuase the installer rescheduled the date themselves....without any notice or request for a future date and time that works for us.
After this I call customer service asking to cancel the order as the experience just gave us a bad feeling about dealing with xfinity, we did not wish to proceed with getting services from them.
Fast forward to today, we received the standard notice of payment received from Xfinity for oir monthly bill. How does Xfinity proceed to charge a customer that never had an installer ever even step foot on their property? That never activates service? Hoping to get reimbursement ASAP.
TL;DR
Scheduled service install with Xfinity, installer never showed up, and rescheduled us. Cancelled the rescheduled install and still billed by Xfinity for the month of service(which we never had).
