Almost a year since I cancelled...yet again I have a colection from Sunrise Credit Services.

Almost a year ago (August 2025) I called and cancelled my service through Xfinity. At the time I was compIetely paid up and never thought i would need to go the the rediculous support chain to get something done again. However, several months later, I noticed a mark on my credit report from Sunrise Credit Services. A little digging led me to Comcast as the source of the debt. I reached out again to the Comcast support line and talked with another agent who told me my request for cancellation was in my account notes, but the previous agent had not completed the cancellation. OK, sometimes people make mistakes, I thanked the second agent for getting to the bottom of the problem and moved on with my life....BUT AGAIN the debt stayed on my account. I then filed an FCC complaint, because frankly, dealing with support through normal channels was a complete waste of time. Within 48 hours I was in email contact with a person in executive support. After a bit of back and forth and me fully explaining the situation, the agent was able to clear up the account, setting my owed amount to $0 and I even checked my credit a few days later seeing nothing from Sunrise Credit Service. Finally, I could move on and never talk to Comcast again.

Fast forward a few months, I'm looking to buy a new car so I check my credit so I have an idea what financing will be like. LO AND BEHOLD! A debt from Sunrise Credit Services, origin Comcast, for THE EXACT AMOUNT that had been cleared from my account by the Executive level support. Of course, it had balloned through interest at this point, but the origin date matched the date my account had been cleared.

I am at my wits end, tried reaching back out to the same executive support email with my Ticket # and recieved no response. I do not want to waste my time calling a bunch of people that cannot solve my problem. This is completely unnaceptable and I would like someone with any amount of knowledge to tell me what steps to take to solve this EXTREMELY ANNOYING issue.

Hello, @Stopbilling thank you for reaching out over Xfinity Forums. You've contacted the right place for support, and I'd definitely like to see how I can help regarding the Collections concern. If I was in your shoes I'd be frustraed as well, and would be reaching back out as well if being told this was previously resolved and your still seeing this being reported. Thank you for all the detailed information that is really helpful.

Our options are limited to assist if there are any open regulatory/FCC tickets, as I'd have to defer to those and have you wait for contact. It doesn't sound like this would be the case since you had mentioned you worked with the executive expert a few months ago.

- Are there any current regulatory/FCC submission open?

I have not opened an FCC ticket as I would like this to be resolved without further difficulty.

Thank you for the quick response.

@Stopbilling you're welcome, and I appreciate the update that there currently isn't an open FCC ticket. To continue I'll need to access your account to review the previous ticket(s) to see who you were working with. We're a corporate based team, and I have access to some tools and teams that the executive experts have and partner with, so I can see if I can first help resolve the concern.

Then if needed I can get the executive you worked with previously looped back in to help with the Collections concern. Since this will require me to gather some information we don't want here in our public conversation.

Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address?
