Adjust balance owed/collections amount

Hello i just found out through a credit alert that i was sent to collections, I was evicted on October 3rd 2025 Landlord

told me they would cancel the account and pay for equipment. I would like my owed amount to reflect when i was still occupying the residence I also still have the equipment (modem,streaming box w/remote) i need to return  equipment but my account online doesnt have the devices listed for return as i would like to return equipment by dropping it off at a ups store. I also dont have a phone currently to call in

Hi there, @SCAST2026! I am sorry to hear that you had to move like that. I understand that would be stressful to go through. The billing on your account stops when you let us know you would like to cancel and on what date. We would not know you wanted to stop the account otherwise.

 

For the equipment you can drop that off at your local Xfinity store. They will scan, box, label, and ship it back to us. Just let them know this goes to Xfinity. 

 

Let's take a look at your account together. Please send us a direct message with your full name and complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the direct messaging icon located at the top right of this forums page.

Here's the detailed steps to direct message us:
• Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Direct Message” icon (upper right corner of this page)
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send your message
