Activation Fees and Down Payments

Hello, I was under the impression I would not get charged activation fees but it seems that I will for my 2nd thru 5th line? Also, my first two lines did not need a down payment on the phones but then the other 3 lines did? Is there something a miss here. Love the service tho, just not sure about the sudden need for down payments and activation fees

Hello @Poni Thanks for reaching out to us here on Xfinity Forums. Was this all on one order or did you have a 1st line already active? Our normal mobile activation fee is $25 per line. But in the past we have had promotions during certain parts of the year that waive those. Nothing like that currently that I am seeing on my end.

As for down payments you would owe nothing to bring over any existing phones you already owe. On new devices it is based on the credit check results after entering your birthday in social. Regardless of the check you will always owe the 1st of the 36 installments + any sales tax on the device. But depending on your credit check results and approved spending limit, additional down payments may be required.

Just trying to figure out how I  owed on 3 of the 5 but not the original two last month. Is there anyway of getting activation fees waived having been a member for 6 plus years and 3 services?

We don't have a way to manually waive the fees unfortunately. But in order to check the down payment information we will need to get into the actual account to see what you were approved for and what is specifically shows. If you'd like to do that please send us a direct message with your full name and service address to get started.
