Concern moved here to the Billing help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Are you also receiving a monthly benefit from your cellular provider?

Comcast doesn't participate in Lifeline. If you have internet with Comcast your ACP benefit would apply to that, but if your phone is with another carrier then your ACP benefit wouldn't flow over to the phone bill. You would need to have your phone through Comcast in order to have your ACP benefit apply to both.

Someone has transferred your ACP to another internet provider without your approval. This has happened to me 3 times in the last year. When this happened, my CA Lifeline was also transferred as well. I have strong suspicion that the culprit is enTouch Wireless, who was my provider for a short time. After I moved my ACP to Xfinity and CA Lifeline to Access Wireless, that's when the problems started. Both CA Lifeline and ACP told me that enTouch Wireless was the receiving party of the unauthorized transfers, all three times. I complained to the CA Utilities Commission, but I seriously doubt a real investigation was conducted.

It has nothing to do with Lifeline. Xfinity does not participate in Lifeline, and those eligible for both programs are allowed to have both. Don't let Xfinity reps tell you otherwise. They will try to get you to add Xfinity Mobile in lieu of your Lifeline phone from another provider. Your ACP was illegally transferred to another provider. It's happened to me 3 times in the last year. While you can re-enroll at Xfinity, you are allowed to do so only once in any calendar month. In other words. if someone transferred your ACP early in the month, you will have to wait until the following month to reenroll. In the meantime, you will not get the ACP credit that was supposed to be yours. There is an exception form from ACP that you can fill out and send to Xfinity. Google it. I have done this once, but I am not sure it really works. Xfinity reps don't seem to have a clue about this form. I think this type of illegal transfers is a huge problem, but no one seems to want to fix it. In my case, I not only lose the ACP, my CA Lifeline also gets transferred. My suspicion is not some individual who is doing this, but a certain provider who has my personal info.
