Account will not close

I've spoken to three different representatives, to close my account. Currently the bill is showing $138.32 due, however this is erroneous and should be $18.36, all three representatives have confirmed this. All three representatives say this update to my account will take 12-24, my bill remains $138.32. I cannot close my account because my amount due is wrong and I cannot get anyone to update my amount due.

I'm having the same problem. I went in person to return my modem and to close the account because I moved to an address that Xfinity doesn't service. I have a receipt from the return of the modem. As my balance was zero, the rep who took the modem and gave me a receipt said the account was closed. That was almost a month ago. About 2.5 weeks ago, an Xfinity rep called me and ultimately said they would close out the account retroactively to the date I returned the modem. Last week, I chatted with a rep who promised the same thing. Now Xfinity is trying to say that I owe. I owe nothing as I returned the modem a month ago! This is not right. I'm getting very frustrated with the lack of competence at Xfinity. Zero out the f'n account and close the account retroactively already. And btw Xfinity, the instructions to send a message above this post are no longer valid. I'm really disgusted with your company at this point.
