Absolutely horrible service experience today

I’ve been with XFINITY mobile for 3 years and travel abroad about 6 times per year. I added the global travel pass when i switched to XFINITY and up until today it had been an amazing experience! $10 per day, fast data capped at a certain limit per day then slower speeds. No issues at all whatsoever with this. Today I touch down in Mexico and receive a text from XFINITY that I need to add the $5 Mexico/Canada plan (paid monthly) to have similar access. I do so immediately and receive a confirmation email saying the following “

You'll pay $5/mo per line for unlimited calling from the U.S. to Mexico and Canada, plus 5 GB of high-speed data per month in both countries.

After 5 GB, you'll have unlimited data at speeds up to 3 Mbps in both countries until your next billing cycle starts.”

Different than previous but totally fine it. A few hours later I receive a text stating my next bill will have at least $100 in roaming charges and to consider adding a travel pass……

I call immediately and spoke with Leslie who for an hour tried to convince me I was wrong and had racked up $250 in roaming fees - keep in mind I got to Mexico at noon and I called around 530. She alleged the following:

- I used 48 GB of data since being in Mexico ( I average 42 a month btw)

- First international pings were at 2AM ( I was sleep in IL )

- Also that after a miraculous 5GB+ of usage in 6 hours roaming charges are assessed (the aforementioned email clearly states otherwise and that the slower data is unlimited)

Once I realized we were not getting anywhere and asked for a supervisior, Leslie tells me she can switch me to a different plan for more money that will cover international data automatically…. XFINITY please stop hiring 3rd parties who are just out to scam your customers (likely some bonus involved for them on upgrades).

So hours spent in this now with no resolution while I’m in a foreign country and should be enjoying my holiday. When the supervisior will call… no one knows. So frustrating. Has anyone had a similar experience?
