A Bit of an Emergency

Hello. I'm coming here because this is the best way to get help. I have a bit of an emergency in terms of billing. I was not expecting my current bill to be the amount it is. I recently had to have a tech come out and fix our line. I kind of forgot about the service charge being on there this month and its supposed to come out of my account today, which I also mixed up the due date with my Xfinity Mobile. I fluffed up and I was wondering if we could move my current bill that is due today to 09/25/2025?

Thank you for your help.

Hey there, @user_6zbjii! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out to us here on the Xfinity Forums. I do totally understand where you are coming from, I have totally done with same with automatic payments. Xfinity totally understands life happens, and allows flexible billing options. There is typically a 7-day grace period for late payments, and before any fees would be assessed. We would recommend viewing the options here to view the payment arrangement options. Please let us know if you have any other questions/concerns, we are happy to help!

Thank you for your help. The chat assistant was helpful but when I tried to change the due date, it said it could take up to two billing cycles for the new due date to take effect. I would really like my current payment to not come out of my account until the 25th. I'm set up on autopay.

Am I able to turn off autopay?

You're very welcome, and I am happy to hear you did get some clarity @user_6zbjii! That does sound like it was shared to change your billing due date totally, which can take up to 2 billing cycles to complete.

No worries, you could shut off automatic payments following the link here. Note, if you do receive the $10 monthly discount for being enrolled in automatic payments using your bank account and paperless billing, that would no longer be applied onto the monthly statement. You can set the payment back up to take advantage of the discount, it would just take up to 2 billing cycles to apply. Please let us know if there are any other questions/concerns, we are happy to help!

Thank you! I think I got autopay shut off for now and I think it worked right. I think it will be maybe 8 days past by the 25th but I will be prepared for any late fees and I will pay it on the 25th. Thank you so much for your help.

Sorry, one more question. Will shutting off automatic payment stop my current bill from coming out of my account today?
