$100 Tech fee for problem with Xfinity equipment?
Hello,
I was charged $100 for a tech service fee visit. I was trying to swap out a cable box and got an error code. Upon contacting Xfinity support, the agent said there was something going on on the network and a technician would need to be dispatched - with no mention about a service fee. The end solution was for the technician to re-arrange the coax connections on the outside of the house. After discovering the service fee I first called and was notified that a credit would be issued. Ticket: ECM0017142295. When that wasn't applied, I tried the online chat, was told the same thing, Ticket ECM0017204160. I just received a text notification that the 4160 ticket was closed and that the credit couldn't be issued - without an explanation as to why.
Very frustrating to think that this issue was handled only to find out later it's not.
