Ways to help stay safe online this holiday season
    Watch out for fake holiday promotions
Scammers use complex techniques disguised as holiday promotions to steal your personal and financial information. Never click on links from unsolicited emails or texts as they could infiltrate your personal data.
    Verify websites before shopping
Look for fine details such as slight misspellings, odd domain names, and formatting issues. If something doesn't look right, it probably isn't.
    Make payments securely
Ensure that you pay only on secure, encrypted websites that begin with https:// such as https://xfinity.com/. You may even see a 🔒 before the URL, which means that a website is secure.
    Avoid shipping scams
Fraudsters can send delivery notices marked as urgent, fake package tracking numbers, and impersonate delivery services. When in doubt, confirm shipping information directly with a merchant or delivery service.
