Wish I could provide you with a solution, but instead all I can say is I have been having a similar problem and it is severly affecting my work from home status.
I've been pinging to see what kind of packet loss is happening. I've noticed it in the afternoon and sometimes overnight (mainly afternoon though). I'll just ping a random address via the cmd prompt to check and I'll notice every 6-7th packet I send times out. Sometimes 3 in a row which then results in me loosing connection alltogether. I do the typical router and modem reset but it never resolves it.
This has happened daily for the past 3 days but has been a major issue for me for the past 2 months as well. I'll notice comcast will post maintenance in my area a few hours later, but not always, and even after maintenance the issue persists. It's not like the internet goes down, it's just repeatedly disconnecting me and since my work is VOIP on the phone, this makes it nearly impossible to stay connected for a whole call.
I've even tried switching hardware to no avail. All I can say is comcast is having issues and isn't very transparent about what those issues are.
