The reason why you can't get new channels or converted channels that Xfinity has upgraded from SD to HD over about the last 2 years or so is because xfinity has been sending these channels over IP and TiVo is not able to put IP channels through TiVo boxes

after 5 years of people wanting the OAN channel I had see what it's about so I went online and discovered that it's not real news I did get a chuckle out of it If people want this channel that bad then maybe add the channel to the highest channel package xfinity has or add it only to the sports &. Entertainment package 10 dollars a month even a stand alone channel let's say 7or 8 dollars a month for those really want this channel they will pay for it $$$

I just pulled up channel 3070 this is the NHL Center ice package you cannot just buy just one NHL channel its a subscription service where you Get access to all NHL teams not sure what the center ice package cost

I have the HBOMAX app on my tv and every time I watch an episode of friends or Big Bang theory instead of giving me the option of watching the next episode of those shows it just takes me back to a screen where they are promiting something else that is available on the app I hope that Comcast and hbo can resolve this issue I will say I have really enjoy the series the flight attendant and WW84

Last night I watched the very first episode of Friends from season1 at the end of the episode instead of giving me the option to watch the very next episode from season 1 which is how it's works on the other steaming apps I have it takes to a picture of a complete different show or movie that tells you about what that show or movie is about. So I said on the X1 remote. The word Friends and then it brought up a list of every episode from all 10 seasons of the show at that point I then had to scroll all the down to season1 in order to watch episode 2 from from season 1 not sure if this is just the way HBO max works or not

I have the X1box and over about the last 2 years I have gotten about a dozen or so of new channels All in HD plus over those same last 2years I have around 25 channels that I Was getting in SD and now I get those channels in HD so this was not a newsmax problem because Comcast has been adding new channels and SD channels that are now in HD over IP

I was able to watch one show last week from HBOMAX in my X1 box will Comcast allow customers who have been waiting along time for X1 box to have HBOMAX as a loyal customer like so many other loyal customer I hope you will allow consumers to watch Wonder Women 1984 it starts on Christmas Day on HBOMAX since there were some episodes available last week of HBOMAX on my X1 box I really hope you allow this to happen Christmas day 2020 has been the most painfully year Of my and millions of people all over the world Comcast please allow on Christmas Day I live alone and will not visit family on that day Because so many people are getting COVID every single day

I watch the first episode of the flight attendant last week but no other episodes are available on X1 so I do not understand why Comcast can't add additional episodes they were able to add the first episode of the flight attendant and I really enjoyed the first episode a lot I have no interest in watching anything on any small digital screen I am going to buy a 65 or 75 inch Samsung smart tv days before the super bowl but that is almost 2 months from now come on Comcast I don't want to wait to watch more episodes of this show until I upgrade my tv

When I have an issue with Xfinity I call 800 934 6489 you will have to listen to a bunch of voice promts to get to a live person I have better luck getting to a live person weekdays during the daytime

If you do not have an X1 cable box Then you will need to upgrade to the X1 box that is the only way you get newsmax I got newsmax the very moment after I upgraded to the X1 box on channel 1115

I just notice that the music choice channels that I always had in the 400 channel range the music choice channels now start at channel 1550 and end at channel 1599 this probably has something to do with these channels going over IP now

Just flipping through channels I saw a new channel that Xfinity must have just added it's called BNC News HD channel 1116 I am almost certain that you will need an X1 box to get that channel when I upgraded to the X1 box I started to get other news channels in that same area on the channel guide including Newsy channel 1114 Newsmax HD channel 1115 BBC World news HD channel 1117 I24 news HD channel 1118

I posted last night at 827pm That apparently HBOMAX is not going to be added to X1Box when I said using the X1 remote HBOMAX it brought up on my TV Screen something call HULU MAXX I said this morning into my X1 remote HBOMAX and now it says HBOMAX is coming to X1 I guess there their was some kind of problem yesterday but I am really glad the HBOMAX coming to X1 is back on my tv screen thanks xfinity

I've seen a few people on this subject say they miss starz encore westerns I Also miss this channel as well. There is another channel I get through Comcast called INSP I get this on channel 295 I live in PA so you may want to check to see if you get this channel in your area as well They have westerns like Gunsmoke. Bonanza. The big valley and western movies as well

I think why I might get BBC world news in HD is because I have x1box and xfinity internet I know all new channels that have been converted to HD over the last year and a half have come over IP but you may or may not have to have internet to get new channels converted to HD maybe someone can confirm on this forum

I bought my Samsung tv in 2018 and yes it is a smart TV I download things on my phone all the time I really don't know how to download something on a TV I am not a tech kind of person and I would rather not mess with the TV as long as Xfinity can add hbo max before the end of the year I'll be satisfied I do have other apps on my TV though xfinity and my X1 box that I pay for Netflix and Hulu plus free apps peacock. Tubi Pluto and other free apps as well just one final note I am very satisfied that Xfinity allows me to get some of the best apps right on my TV if my only choice to watch streaming apps was on my tablet or phone I would have no apps at all yes I know all about amazon fire stick and Roku but I just like keeping things simple and easy

I ordered HBO on May 29 th right After I read on this forum that Comcast and HBO came to a deal on adding HBO MAX I was told by customer service rep that HBO MAX would be on The X1 platform in the next couple of months there is now a little over three months left in the year will it be on X1 soon I Know I can get it on my tablet or phone but I am legally blind in one of my eyes I don't really enjoy watching a full movie on a small screen my tv is a 65 inch Samsung 4K tv and I really enjoy watching movies and TV on a big screen it's just so much better

Whenever I add or delete a service I have always called Comcast customer service at 800 934 6489 when the voice message says how can I help you say I want to Cancel one item I just cancel EPIX myself two weeks ago with no problem good luck

I ordered the sports and entertainment package awhile back and red zone channel is only available In the package that I listed above I pay 9.95 a month for this package I called Comcast customer service 800 934 6489 and rep I spoke to got this package up and working before I ended that call with her hope this helps

I have also been waiting a long. Time for cbs all access to be put on the X1 platform about twice a week I pull up the existing apps on my tv just to see if Comcast has already put cbs all access on my tv We only have about 4 months left in the year Comcast you need to get this on X1 in the next month or so in the months ahead it's going to get cold I will be spending a lot of time straming a lot during the winter time I already have spent a lot of time streaming on netfix Hulu and peacock that I have on the X1 platform and cbs all access would be another great app like the three that I already have on X1 so lets make this happen I 'm rooting for you guys to get this app onX1 and just to let you know I love the . You need to have X1 box or a compatible customer owned divice and HD technology fee in order to get these channels in HD if you already have those things above and still don't get the channels in HD than those HD channels are most likely not available in HD in your area yet

I also got a notice in my last bill saying smithsonian HD will be added on august 25th I am one of the lucky people who has had smithsonian HD for years with Comcast but I have been on this forum for years and I have read many people still not getting smithsonian HD hopefully that will end on august 25th
