Well, I have been keeping track of the "tel 2" lights return & it went on again early this a.m. What is extremely odd, it that when I have picked up my phone to use it, the "tel 2" light flashes off/on & NOT the "tel 1" light. Usually I reset the modem & the "tel 2" goes off for a while. This is part of dates/times of occurrance:
12/06/19 Friday: Light lite up again after 4 p.m. Restarted Modem to correct problem with 2nd phone line lighting up. 12/16/19 Monday: Light lite up again early a.m. Restarted Modem to correct problem with 2nd phone line lighting up.
01/05/20 Sunday: Light lite up again early a.m. Restarted Modem
01/15/20 Wednesday: Light lite up again mid-day. Restarted Modem early a.m. of 01/16/20
01/25/20 Saturday: Light lite up again late day. Restarted Modem early a.m. of 01/27/20 02/07/20 Friday: Light lite up again early a.m. Restarted Modem.

While I only have ONE phone line, usually lit under Tel 1, I have noticed on 11/21/19 & 12/01/19 that the Tel 2 line is lit, which should not be when I only have ONE line. I have read a post where it said Comcast runs reports. I made a call & the person whom I spoke with told me this is the first time he has heard of this & claimed I will need a new Modem. I requested a call in the a.m. When I picked up phone to make this call, I noticed Tel 2 flashing & Tel 1 steady on. Again, usually only Tel 1 is lit & will flash when in use. Any concrete answers as to why this is occurring? Logically it seems like I have 2 phone lines when I only have one. IF Comcast runs reports why wouldn't those answering questions know this?
