I’ve been going through this issue since October 19th and I wish I had read your post. However, last night I was able to finally activate my watch by: 1. Back up iPhone to cloud 2. Unpair watch 3. Reset iPhone to factory setting 4. Boot iPhone up again 5. Pair watch... and Ta-Da... no error message! The pairing price was seamless and I was able to make a call from my watch.
