I experienced this problem also, I think that it is a software handshake issue, the app attempting to identify itself to amazon prime. The reason that i say this is that I was able to fix the issue, after many tries at watching the movie I wanted, by logging into amazon prime and starting the movie there. I allowed the internet connection to stay up for about 10 minutes then attempted to use the app on xfinity once again this time my movie started right up, no reboots, no xfinity service calls, no changed set top boxes, soo go figure!
